Driving a Subaru Crosstrek here was not very comfortable, but the car handled it well. I wanted to see the round rock (\pumpkins\) because I saw some really cool night photography where they look like alien eggs. I would not drive here at night though. Google Maps is showing Pumpkins Patch Trail near the entrance of the path, and you have to drive north to get to the Pumpkin Patch which is another point on the map. I did not see a walking trail. This is nothing but sandy, rocky wash for ATVs, 4x4s, and AWDs with high clearance. Watch for the signs along the way to make sure you are on the right path.

This place is a scientific wonder. It's crazy how these rocks grow.
Took our full size Tundra out there. Interesting landscape and mild trail, a few times I thought we were a tad wide.
Fun area with natural formations called concretions. Very unique. Please leave no trace! I see people have carved their initials into some of them which is just sad.
Pumpkin patch is an awesome natural phenomenon that starts from one small grain of sand. Kids loved running around exploring and the side trails can be difficult but exciting nonetheless
