I love the ambience at studio, Irene is a professional dance instructress. I enjoyed the belly dance techniques she taught to us, very graceful and artistic. We work out together and had so much fun learning how to dance like a happy family; We laugh and dance and enjoyed every move with a lot of positive energy and good vibes. I love the shimmy shimmy!

On September 29th, I attended the Open House at Soul Dance Temple on Route 41 In Punta Gorda. My purpose was to attend the Meditation Class. When I got there, the session had just started. I rolled out my mat and began the class. The atmosphere was serene and welcoming. The instructor, Dr. Irene Rimer, was calming. The studio played soothing music and had pleasant smells. As the class progressed, Dr. Rimer switched into yoga. I didn’t realize that the class was a combination of Meditation and Yoga. This was my first yoga class ever. Dr. Rimer let everyone progress at his or her own pace. I did my best and thoroughly enjoyed the full hour class. I would definitely try this again. When the full lights came on, I was surprised how beautifully the studio was decorated. The studio felt spiritual with beautiful paintings from an artist named Lupe. I later found out the artist is Dr. Rimer’s mom. Since I traveled some distance, I decided to attend the hour lecture on Christian Metaphysics. Dr. Rimer was the speaker and was very knowledgeable and again welcoming. Full participation was encouraged but not forced. It was one of the fastest hours ever perhaps due to my interest in the topic. I was surprised at how many attended the lecture. Felt more to me like a religious or spiritual experience than an actual lecture. I hope there are more lectures on Sunday. I really believe these lectures will grow to something significant. It is definitely needed for all. I will be attending again.
