Pura Vida is an incredible place. The coaches are great, keep things light hearted, welcoming to everyone and focus on individual improvement within even the largest classes. The new gym is huge, very clean and has a great setup. I highly recommend!

I've been with PVBJJ for about 7 years, and they have never disappointed me. I've always felt accepted by PVBJJ where I felt other Milwaukee gyms tried to push me into more practices than I wasn't comfortable with, or had cliques that weren't inviting. They work with you to get the experience you need. Jake and Zak are awesome!

Basic 1 2 punch combo. Will not let you take advanced classes until you have so many beginner classes in no matter your experience. No sparring. Was told someone would get in contact with me about advanced classes and sparring and I have yet to receive correspondence from anyone. Your better off looking up youtube videos and punching a bag than wasting your money on this \top notch\ gym. Sorry not sorry

I did a mid day no-gi with Josh. He did a deep dive into a technique, and gave a lot of options (and explanations on details) from there so that by the end of class even I (who doesn't normally work from there) felt good in that position. In short, he seems like a very good instructor. A shower is available. Visitor friendly.

Honestly best mma gym I’ve been to and growing up in foster care as a child I found the guidance and role models I needed to be successful here. The classes and coaches led me to believe in myself and my career in mma. It gave me confidence in life too. It’s an accepting place for people trying to find a hobby, lifestyle or try something new. 414 love
