Amazing history and a demo for using fire arm was awesome to attend. Great monument. Watching blue water from the park trail was soothing. One can take a walk near the shore through paved trail.

I had no idea so much historical significance was held on a couple of islands at the very most northern part of my state (Ohio). My family and I love history and love to visit historical places so it was to our great surprise to find so much history at a place where my wife and I just wanted to get away for our 19 year anniversary. Definitely worth the stop, Put-In-Bay is known for its restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions but now (for us) its known as a deeply historical destination.

Really amazing stop in the National Park system. We practically had to drag the kids away they were so fascinated by the history of the place and the learning they did in the Junior Ranger program set up here. The memorial is well cared for and highlights a really important, if lesser known event in American history.

This is one of my favorites ever. Being from Ohio I am proud of the role that this state played in the War of 1812. I think that the Battle of Lake Erie has a significant place in the history of The United States of America. Oliver Hazard Perry is a National hero and I am so proud that he turned the battle against the World's best Navy, at the time, and beat them by outsmarting them. The visitor center is a great place to visit when you are there. Enjoy the views from the top, the history, and the National park itself.

This monument stands out and a highlight of the island. A nice place to rest especially when the weather is nice and the air is cool. Sadly, the tower is closed to the public at the time of this review, but it looks like a very nice experience!
