Very easy to schedule a bid and start the deck. They listened to our vision and created a beautiful deck. I highly recommend their services.

I called HDK and Sons and left a message to request a quote for replacing our fence. Hank was very prompt to call me back and set up an appointment for the quote the next day. He was on time and immediately friendly, measuring our fence and answering my questions about fencing options. Hank assured me he would have a quote for us by the end of the week and gave us the advice that we could save money if we took the fence down ourselves (which turned out to be rather easy in our case). The quote was fair and they were able to begin work within a week and a half. The family team was extremely friendly and professional and worked efficiently, arriving early and wasting no time. They were very considerate of the fact that we have two large dogs that had to be cooped up inside and were done with the job by 10:30 AM the next day (keep in mind that we live near downtown and have a relatively small backyard). Hank was a joy to work with the entire time and we are incredibly happy with the finished result. We would recommend him to anyone!

I cannot recommend HDK and Son's. Troy put in our deck last spring. The spaces between the deck planks are uneven, not only between boards, but from one end to the other. Some screws are not fully countersunk. The railing around the deck is wobbly. The job site was not cleaned up. We found over 50 screws laying around the site. The landscape fabric that was put under the deck was sticking out along the sides of the deck. When my husband asked Troy to respace the boards evenly, he threatened to walk off the job.

We were impressed with this company from the first time Hank met with us and gave us excellent suggestions for building our 12 X 22 deck at a competitive price through final installation. He and his son have an eye for detail and the finished desk is beautiful. We love our new deck!!
