I have had at least 3 episodes where the alarm went off at my house. No response from the company, QEI, or the police department which tells me that I'm not being monitored. When I called to ask why Amy told me if they called everyone that their alarm went off they would be on the phone day and night. WHAT, isn't that what they are supposed to do MONITOR? I was emailed a notice that my system needs to be updated so I called. Amy told me 3 times someone would called me back, never happened. I called today to see why since my first call was months ago. She told me I had to pay 125 for them to do that. UNBELIEVABLE!! They scam you into a 5 year contract that the sale person lies and said if you sell you can get out of it no problem. Crooks. Their monthly fee is 39 and everyone else is 29. I think it is worth the lawyer fee to see if they operate legally. I recommend you use any one else but QEI.

I am leaving a more in-depth review on BBB but want to make sure I’m covering all my bases here as well. Like many others have stated, we were deceived into a 5-year contract with no possibility of taking it with us upon moving or having our contract cancelled. The options were to pay upwards of 2,000 to buy it out, or continue paying monthly for a service we were obviously not receiving. We are an active duty family and received orders to a new base. After contacting QEI and learning of this surprise long-term contract, my husband explained our situation and asked what solutions were available. The lady was incredibly rude and informed my husband that “it was not very smart to sign a contract if you knew you would be leaving.” Mind you the sales representative who presented the contract misrepresented its contents completely. Absolutely no remorse for their deceptive business practices, or for the financial burden they placed on an already stressed out military family. I am doing my absolute best to make sure everyone who will listen hears how this company treats its customers.

QEI security knew that I had a hearing disability I am deaf I you sign language as a primary form of communication come to find out they gave me the wrong equipment no strobe lights nothing to give me two lightbulbs apparently need to stay on at all times how’s that gonna help me when I need it to be completely dark and sleeping and once my hearing aids are out I can’t hear anything. I called ask them and then they find out that the alarm system some of the equipment is malfunctioning so they want me to pay for that to top it off to get me the fire alarms in the equipment with strobe lights for deaf and hard of hearing they want to charge me for that this is the worst freaking company I’ve ever had to deal with to the point where I’m about to call a lawyer. It’s a shame that they care more about money than my actual safety which is the only reason why even even went with them. They lie to you they’re unprofessional and if your alarm goes off you have a better chance of your neighbor checking on you than them QEI I never called you when your alarm goes off to check and make sure you’re OK or do they need to send somebody the picture is so high I can’t even hear it I didn’t even know it was going off Amy decided to say something stupid to me about the panel talks to you and tells you what’s malfunctioning hello I’m pretty sure when we started the conversation I told you I was deaf if this doesn’t validate that the contract is invalid on their part then I will seek legal action this is disgustingThey don’t even deserve one star

If I could give this company -5 stars I would. I had some issues with my internet services causing me to have to get a new modem (Not my fault, not like I wanted to get new equipment). I called QEI to see if they could reset it or come out and Amy informed me that it is 110 per hour for a tech to come out. My monthly bill isn't even 110 so why would I pay that amount for an hour? That amount for 1 hour is ridiculous. It was my understanding that maintenance was included. I will post on our neighborhood website to avoid this company.

When I tried to cancel services, I was surprised by the news of a 5 year contract. We told them we wouldn’t have knowingly signed something like that (military so we move every couple years) so they sent us what was only page one of their ‘contract’ which the only indication of length was a line checked that said “Service Warranty” right next to it is “monitoring term: 60 months.” It also didn’t have a signature. I told them what they sent me was not a contract as I sent over my military orders to break this ‘contract’ and they sent me page 2 which had a fake signature on it. It was just my name typed in cursive on the line. So not only did they never mention something so important as a 5 year contract verbally but they were trying to hold me to a contract that didn’t even have a real signature on it. Then they tried to tell me there company policy was they need 30 days written notice so they could terminate 30 days after my orders indicated travel would occur. If the SCRA doesn’t care about your contract why would they care about your written notice policy? These scumbags are nothing but scam artists.
