Initially I picked this shop because it stays open late and I needed that due to the hours I work. I was charged 50 to tailor a uniform shirt and pants. I put them both on and showed a father and son duo where I wanted the adjustments. Not only did they mess it up. I went back to explain and the father only speak Spanish so he dismissed me and said it was impossible to fix. A waste of time and money.

I dont recommend this shop. I gave him a couple of suits and he did a horrible job. He ruined two of my suits . I was very disappointed
Have a beautiful suit that I planned on wearing to a wedding but discovered it was a little too snug now lol. Was looking for a real tailor in Jackson Heights to let out the pants when I googled Gerry's. I knew right away this guy was the real deal. The place is a hole in the wall, don't think there's even a changing room. No matter, I explained to him in my broken Spanish to let out the pants and he knew exactly what I wanted and said to return later in the day! Picked up my pants a couple days later and they were perfect fit and only charged 10. This old gentleman just sits in his tiny shop in front of his sewing machine sewing all day with the little TV on. Think he only sews, no dry cleaner. Going back again to get something hemmed.
Solo tailor. Spanish-speaking only. Good work, reasonable prices. Usually takes a break 4-5pm for supper.
