Wonderful rich chocolate made on site from the actual beans, which are sourced from different parts of the world. All the chocolate bars are labeled by region so you can compare a bar from Madagascar to one from the Philippines. This little store is an old-school gem with a lovely owner.

Unlike any other mass produced chocolate that is available today, this product is in a category of its own. Be sure to try the hot chocolate disks. The flavors of the plant will reveal a flavor that most people have never experienced. The chocolates are not cheap, but they are hand made and it's worth it. Highly recommend this company.

"Artisanal" is definitely an overused term, but you'd be hard-pressed to call Ridgewood Chocolate anything else. They've got delicious dark chocolate, sourced from the world over and prepared in small batches that are roasted and ground onsite. I stopped in with a friend while running errands and had a great conversation with Constantine - a super friendly guy who's great to talk to. Highly recommend this charming spot in Ridgewood.
