Due to Covid-19, Shanghai You Garden is selling dim sum outside. I recommend Chicken feet and Shaomai.

Very decent food for outdoor dining in the midst of winter. There's positive pandemic pricing where u get a basket of 6 Shanghai soup dumplings gratis if u spend over 10

** Vegetarian here so keep that in mind! CASH ONLY ** tldr: menu is limited for vegetarians, some meat options can be customized without meat, outdoor seating is nice with heating, cash only Stopped by this place in Flushing the other day for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the heated outdoor dining. It almost seemed like dining inside. Ordered a few dishes: Vegetable Dumplings, Mapo Tofu, Crispy Noodles, Rice Cakes. I think overall, the dishes were on the average side. Nothing was spectacular, but it was nice to be able to make Mapo Tofu, Crispy Noodles, and Rice Cakes as vegetarian options (removed meat). Outdoor dining is heated and almost feels like indoor dining. Enjoyed the ambiance. Service is better than average. Staff is helpful with customizing options to be vegetarian. Price is on the average side. I’d come here again if I run out of options in Flushing, but this wouldn’t be my go-to. I didn’t like how it was cash only.

This place was one of my favorite places but I visited today to find hair on two of my dishes. When we told the staff they refused to acknowledge it and got mad at us. It's sad that I have to stop going to one of my favorite spots in flushing. I wouldn't recommend coming here, maybe it'll be better when it returns to indoor dining.

This is probably one of my most visited restaurants in Flushing! It’s always so packed and I can definitely see why. The rice cakes and the soup dumplings are phenomenal; I get them every time. The scallion pancake with beef slices is also a major hit! The location is great; it’s so close to the train station. The prices are very fair and I love that they give out free dumplings, which saves me some money. The service is pretty good as well! The downside would probably be that they don’t accept cards so bring cash! They have an ATM to withdraw money but it charges fees so I would just bring cash. Overall, I highly recommend this place; definitely one of my favorite places in Flushing!
