Whenever we go to Flushing for shopping, we stop by the canteen for excellent pure vegetarian South Indian food, tasty and inexpensive.

A nice Ganapathi temple and canteen with enough seatings. Temple security personnel will ensure all devotees are checked for body temperature before entering temple or canteen.

This temple leaves one speechless and considering that this one of the oldest Hindu temples in the country, that is impressive. The main hall contains a variety of different shrines as well a very friendly staff testing for a fever prior to entry. After blessings, visitors can go down and try the temple Canteen which serves dosa and other vegetarian dishes. Overall I am very proud of the Hindu community in the US for keeping such temples so well maintained! Jai Mata Di!

I have been visiting the temple for years, but today was the first time I asked for acharya to be performed (I requested separate pujas for Ganapati, Maha Laxmi, and Navgraha). After it was completed (and I had prasad/apple), I felt much more open and light and free. It is now many hours later and I feel the same. I am so grateful to the temple and the priest, and of course the deities. Note, the cost is not prohibitive in my opinion. Each acharya is 10. Of course, these fees support the temple.
