End of an era, When I was in recording engineering school in the 80’s our class took a all day field trip to tour Rainbo Record’s plant in Santa Monica. At the time they were pressing not only vinyl, but cassettes and cd’s. They were always considered the top duplication and pressing plant in the nation. Seemed like everything I listened to at the time was manufactured at Rainbo. So when my band Deadbolt some 35 years later was rereleasing our previous 90’s CD’s remastered on vinyl, I was excited and pleased to learn they were a Rainbo pressed product. High quality thick vinyl and high gloss cover duplication. We were very happy with the final products, It’s a sad day for the record industry when the closed the doors for good. The quality will not be the same somewhere else!

Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from, but I can't say anything negative about them. As an artist, I've been ordering my CDs from them since 2008. Art department is great, Steve Sheldon is great and pleasant to work with, all great people all around. I haven't ordered any vinyl from them so I can't speak to that. Just the CDs are always professionally done and my listeners/fans who have purchased the CDs have never complained.

I see some negative feedback here, but I for one had a great experience as a customer here. And no, I'm not being paid by the company or anything to say this, I'm just your average hard-working musician. Rick LePore was our sales rep. He did his best to keep us updated and willingly answered any questions we had. Only bit of criticism is we had to play a bit of phone tag to reach him at times (I suppose they're just that busy? At first, it did seem kinda fishy, not gonna lie.), but he always responded to our emails promptly and cordially. Records arrived on schedule, in accordance with Rick's predicted turn-around time. Our order was placed in the beginning of November 2016 and we received our shipment on the last day of February 2017. We ordered 1000 12 inch 33s and they gave us an extra 100, and used the andom color option\, which is the same cost as black vinyl. This was awesome, as literally every record inside is a different color. No record is truly the same, which is a great selling point for independent musicians. This company gives you the most bang for your buck, without question. Product is great. Full color jackets, random color vinyl, and black/white labels (including UPS Freight shipping from California to New Jersey) was far cheaper than using any other competitor nearer to me in Jersey. I was, at first, nervous about using these guys from seeing the negative feedback online, but I gave it a shot, honestly, just because their prices were the most reasonable. I for one have no complaints. Music quality is great, appearance of the LP and jacket are both great as well. I totally would only use Rainbo if I have any future projects I'd like pressed.

Rainbo did not deliver my albums on time. There were constant communication breakdowns of timelines, shipping and tracking information and either flat out incompetence or lies. Regardless, as a result my album orders were and as of today Friday, June 6, 2014 still late and pre orders of the album have fallen way behind. To add insult to injury my card was charged an unauthorized amount of 650 above the agreed upon amount. There doesn't seem to be much regard for deadlines, honestly or communication and I will never press anything new with them again. That being said, the quality of their work was very good and the vinyls sound great. Customer service is a cornerstone of any good business and I felt ignored and disregarded after they had my money. My advice if you move forward? Obtain EVERYTHING in writing.
