the best surgeon ever. I walked around in feburuary 2015 for 3 weeks in crucial pain and couldn't let my right arm down for long with loss of use in my right arm and hand also. I kept going to my pcp asking her to do an MRI, she refused and sent me to physical therapy instead, no matter how much i tried to tell her that there was something wrong, she blew me off every time. I ended up finally going to the ER where the did the MRI, found out i had a ruptured disc that required immediate surgery. This Dr has his nurse on the phone with me that sunday telling me that I had to be in the office on Monday to set up my surgery appt. Dr. K fixed me back together again. I'll forever be grateful for him and his staff for the expedited care that they gave me. I HIGHLY Recommend Dr. K anytime to anyone. You are THE BEST Dr. Koeleveld!!

Getting scheduled was nightmare, the lack of service was the worst I’ve ever experienced, and I felt like they didn’t even care about me. I was told the doctor looked at my MRI and suggested steroid shots. After asking additional questions you realized no one looked at the MRI. Cancelled the appointment and went to find someone else.

Dr. Koeleveld is a fantastic surgeon! Through my experiences, whether it was standing by his side assisting in surgery or being treated as his patient, I have witnessed first hand a calm and well-mannered surgeon. His surgical skills are meticulous and conservative. I personally suffered from a compressed C5 nerve root. I quickly lost upper arm strength within hours of herniating in my cervical spine. He accurately diagnosed me and quickly intervened with surgery. I could barely lift my arm when I contacted him in tears with my symptoms. All my anxiety and fears were relieved the moment he decided to perform emergent surgery on me as I had complete confidence in his decision. He was spot on with expectations for me post-op with the estimated time for a full recovery of my arm strength. Thanks to this doctor I can continue my passion of working in surgery and busy lifestyle. Highly recommended!

Recently Dr. Koeleveld performed a dicey surgery on my spine. I could not have found a better neurosurgeon. The surgery he performed gave me back my ability to walk without fear of falling and the resulting confidence that comes with that. To say I am grateful is a massive understatement. And I must say that the team with whom he is associated at his office and at Rex Hospital were, to a person, including Dr. Koeleveld, everything one needs in this health care specialty. I am grateful to all involved....including my primary care Doctor Ronald Prucha.who recommended him.
