I recently visited this place after driving past it for years. So glad that I finally dropped in and paid Ramen Tatsunoya a visit. My friends and I were looking for a great place for breakfast with large portions and affordable prices and we found just that. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was excellent. All of the staff we encountered was friendly and eager to assist.

We got the Koku Tonkatsu, Spicy Miso Tonkatsu and gyoza. First of the broth was delicious in both the ramen bowls. I didnt get to drink the koku broth since my toddler liked it so much. Given that, the pork was almost all fat. I had two bites of meat and at this price point it should also come with an egg. The gyoza was probably one of the better gyozas we've had at a ramen place. I think I still like Silverlake Ramen and the Tonkatsu Black at Kontentsu better.

Amazing ramen in Pasadena! Possibly best one I've had in LA outside of little Tokyo. Do yourself a favor and try the katsu sushi also!

If you are feeling under the weather or in the mood for soup...this is the place. It's good, simple and reasonably priced. Also you can walk across the street and get the delicious Korean rice pancakes that are so addicting.
