Those that are in the trenches with kids that have suffered trauma abuse and neglect, and are willing to pour their lives into those kids, its amazing. Such a challenging environment. I can say with absolute 100% accuracy, The Ranch for kids has made an impact in the FASD and RAD community, they are innovators in the work they are doing to bring healing to these kids and their families. Those that criticize, condemn and complain, are only showing how ignorant and small minded they are. God Bless Ranch for Kids, It changed my life.

I lived here a long time ago. While they say non-profit believe me when I say this is all about money. When I fist got there is was okay. After a little while you start to see the realness of all of the situation. First of all let me start with one day when one of the girls that was there did something bad they made her clean out the S**** from the horse stable and put hay down and locked her in there for the night. They had us working on building the new houses & other off site projects that I am pretty sure were for profit jobs. They didn't really care about school. Never was told to do HW or anything. It was just get home do chores (usually was cleaning horse S****). All in all I would say that Bill & his family don't give a S**** about the kids, but who knows.

I've heard my fair share of gossip about this place , none of them affected me personally until last night. after a day of getting firewood with my family way up in the middle of nowhere West Kootenai Montana we come acrossed a young girl from the ranch for kids marching in front of a Cadillac in the middle of the night, pitch black wilderness, marching in nothing but the headlights of this Cadillac. (Note: this isn't even a place I would have stopped to change a flat tire. Let alone put an adolescent out in) Being the people that we are we stopped to ask if everything was okay. The terrified child was obviously not allowed to speak to us and the staff did not have the guts to identify themselves. It wasn't until later on in the evening after calling around multiple entities did I find out that this is a normal punishment for children who \misbehave\ at the ranch for kids. I'm disgusted....

I do not suggest this ranch to anyone. In the past three months...they (the owners) have kicked out three boys...two in the same month. As I am one of the three I do not have a good final image of them.
