The lady at the booth was very pleasant. It is was it is, a dump, but the experience was smooth.

We used to take our items to the \old\ dump which you backed the truck with trailer into the building and unloaded items in there - soooo easy and convenient. BUT with this ew\ landfill - you have to drive a good ways up to get to the site that you have to dump. You definitely need a 4x4 truck to get up in there. Even with our 4 wheel drive truck my husband about burned his clutch out because of so much mud. You are given a yellow vest and hard hat at the entrance and given directions on where to go to start your unloading. Note that if you go early on Saturday morning you will be unloading your items along with all the local trash companies that are unloading their trash trucks in the big truck unloader. There are many workers riding around with excavators pushing the trash around. Just be prepared for all of this when you go. Make sure to wear appropriate shoes (boots) and know that you have to unload your trailer yourself. I would suggest bringing a helper along and also remember to drive a 4x4 truck or one that you won't mind driving in heavy mud. The lady at the window though was super nice and helpful.

I have been so disappointed that we no longer have a place in town to drop of recycling. Now I have to drive 25 miles to drop off plastic and cardboard. And the bins are ALWAYS full!! Not to mention they are very tall and hard to reach.Yesterday I arrived to find 4 other's besides myself trying to poke in plastics and cardbord. The process should be much easier and much more user friendly than it is! I also believe this would lead to less individuals recycling.....
