Sent all the required photos of our home and information asked for in the application. We were told that they saw no information on vet records or checkups, which was clearly in the information we sent. We also noted that a qualified family member was doing routine yearly health checks on all of our animals and also stated that we personally did all of our own vaccinations and kept records of doing so. The only response we received was how would we like to proceed. After replying to that last email we have not heard anything else. Seems like we were taken for the 5 application fee and got nowhere. Such a disappointment as we would have adopted both dogs and Motley Zoo would have got the 500 each for the puppies they were asking for as an adoption fee. UPDATE: 11/22/2020. Motley Zoo: It's to bad you blatantly LIED in your response to our review. Sadly your organization is in poor standing with many could be adopters that are well qualified such as ourselves and you have denied them due to your incompetence and lack of knowledge. Enjoy the 5.00 ripoff fee.

We picked up our Luna a couple of weeks ago and the whole process was great. The puppy I initially inquired about went to a different forever home (he was not meant to be ours) but we decided that we wanted to work exclusively with Motley Zoo to adopt our fur baby after doing some research on the organization. I am so happy we did. I really appreciate the time they took with our application (totally worth the wait) and the questions they asked to make sure we were the best match for Luna (f.k.a. Marnie) and her for us (she is just the best, adjusting perfectly and we are just in love with her). They were (and still are) more than willing to answer any questions I had, and I had a lot, and they were so patient with me and are so caring about their animals. Thank you Motley Zoo!

I paid for my skittish dog to attend 6 weeks of confidence class, and he's a brand new dog now. I will gladly pay for him to attend doggy daycare and know that the money is going to support a great organization. I kind of wish I had adopted from them at the beginning.

seems like a good place but there is a lack of response and communication on their part. submitted a five dollar application (which I noticed other rescue places don’t typically charge for) received an email regarding documents which were already attached to the application, sent them anyway, and followed up but received no answer. I understand that they’re busy but a quick message could go a long ways! I want to give them another chance, though. So I will be patient and see what happens.

Took the time to fill out an application, and followed up twice, with no contact in return. Kept checking email and website multiple times, until one day, about a week later, the dog we were looking to adopt was listed as adopted. Now I know these people are primarily volunteers, and are doing what they can to find homes for these animals, but a simple thank you email, or follow up in response to an application should be essential in order to keep your reputation high. It would have been nice to know if she had already been adopted, without having to wait for them to update the website, as we paid to submit an application. Keep up the effort to find homes for these dogs, but please contact the people who fill out applications so they know the status of what is going on, so that we may transfer the application over to another pet that is listed on your website, as we want them to have a nice home just as much as you do.
