Children and Family Eye Doctors has always been a good experience for me and my family. Autumn Mantel and their staff has always treated my family great and handled all our vision needs. Even making needs for us with an emergency years ago.

I would strongly reconsider looking for another ophthalmologist if your child is younger than 6. EDIT: in response to the comment from the clinic trying to discredit my husband’s review, here is my own review. The receptionist was great, the assistant was wonderful. It all went downhill after the assistant left. She was so kind and asked if my son would like a show to be put on and I gratefully said yes. Dr Lenart came in and DID NOT INTRODUCE HIMSELF TO ME OR MY SON. He went straight to my son who was not paying any attention to him BECAUSE THE SHOW WAS STILL TURNED ON. I tried to make polite conversation and give him an opening to introduce himself to me and my son, but he was too concerned with whatever he needed to do on his phone and I had to introduce Dr Lenart to my son so he would at least let the dr do an exam on him. The exam was quick and I was only told he needed surgery. I was surprised because surgery was not was expected. I was hoping to get an explanation on what was wrong with my son’s eye, but I had to pry that information out of him. I had to figure out on the spot how to ask all the right questions. I asked if therapy was an option and he replied “it probably won’t work” This was my son’s first appointment at an eye doctor. AND THIS WAS ALL WHILE THE SHOW WAS STILL ON. No introduction, no other treatment options, I was not talked to like a first time patient. I went to check out, I was given a pre-surgery prep list and they asked me when I would like to schedule a surgery! I went into this appointment hoping for some answers and options, I left frustrated and crying to my husband in the bathroom.

Dr. Lenart is an amazing doctor. He performed surgery on my daughter’s lazy eye when she was 5. He has kept her eyes straight and she is now 11. The staff is always very welcoming and efficient. Dr. Lenart is definitely the best in the business. Highly recommend!!

Very rude Behavior by Dr. Lenart. Spoke harshly to the child during the exam. My child got literally scared. Both myself and my wife were there for the appointment. I noted specifically a trend where the owner replies and tries to cover up similar feedback - calling this out so it is helpful for other parents.
