I stopped in at the US Passport Agency office to confirm details regarding a mail in passport renewal. The attendant could not have been less helpful and more rude. I wanted to confirm 1-2 day return fee since I myself had been getting residential mail service twice a week only. She said the Passport would be returned only a day later if I didn’t opt for expedited shipping which is a total lie. I then said oh the agency sends the passport by Priority Mail now? To which she said no just First Class. I knew this from other family members renewing. I don’t see how Priority Overnight Mail can be compared to regular First Class which doesn’t track btw. These are troubling times for the USPS particularly with the upcoming election debacle. I’ll gladly pay the 17.13 extra to have the passport overnighted. Better to ask a bonafide federal Passport Agency these questions. We have the absolute worst branch of the USPS in Redondo Beach.
