Aikido west is a very good Dojo. The sensei are really good, and my son really loves it. He was slowly loosing interest in Aikido in his previous Dojo, but he is now fully back. Great place to train !

I have good news for anyone who wants to study martial arts and lives in, or around, Redwood City - Aikido West is one of the best aikido schools to be found anywhere! The instructors at Aikido West are literally world-famous. The main teacher, Frank Doran, is a legend of American Aikido. Master instructors from all over the globe flock to his seminars because of his flawless mastery of the art; his ability to express the complex principles of aikido in simple terms; and, perhaps more importantly, his exemplary character and personality. I have trained in martial arts for over 40 years and do not know a more beloved martial arts master. The quality of instruction at Aikido West does not end there, though. His assistant instructors have many decades of experience and are masters in their own right and their children's program is fantastic! Many aspiring aikido students move to Redwood City specifically to devote themselves to training at Aikido West.
