While many things have changed in our new normal, I am alarmed that there is no supervision in a complex designed to support separate offices with a shared administrative staff. At a minimum, I would expect to see a receptionist greeting patrons, particularly when attorneys and mediators see those working through marital separations. Recently, I found myself sharing the waiting room with just such a couple who were arguing aggressively and not masked. There was no independent party to intercede and remind them to observe the posted requirements or escort them to their appointment where they could air their issues privately.
