I can't say enough to good things about this store. I meant to post this last week but got busy. I went in to buy hiking boots last week. The service I received from Dustin was phenomenal! He helped me pick out the most perfect hiking boots! Went hiking this past weekend and I'm so pleased with my purchase. He really went above and beyond to help me. And he help me pick out socks! The whole Schaumburg REI team is very friendly. Great experience in general!
Love REI. I wish they carried more stuff at the store but I understand they are limited by space. Online shopping is easy and when at the store their employees are nice. They sell good quality stuff, much better than the other 'fisher-price' sporting good stores out there.
I wish the sleeping bags would be easier to see what they come with. Everything is tagged and locked down with security tags making viewing products nearly impossible. Customer service is great. Employees are easy to talk to and help when you need it.

Staff is extremely knowledgeable. Mike helped me fit a pair of hiking boots. They also have a sloped surface to try on boots to make sure they won't give you blisters.
