This is a great store with a super wide selection. The prices could be a little lower but they definitely make up for it with quality customer service. The staff had an extensive knowledge of every camping product we looked at and made very easy for our family of amateur campers to make purchases with confidence. Its nice when you can get actual advice in your purchases instead of being offered the most expensive product. I'll definitely ship there again.

Outdoors Equipment retail cooperative based in Oregon. Specialists in canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking, climbing and camping. REI isn't just a clothing store, though they sell their own brand as well as top brands in the outdoors. They also have an equal amount of to quality gear, which I find sets then apart.
First time REI shopper. I joined today after previously stopping by the store to look around. Staff is friendly, open and talkative. The store is clean, organized and includes a public restroom. The selection is broad and prices seem competitive. Given that you can see, touch and test the products in the store this is reason I'll be coming back. Plus, the bike mechanics are friendly. I don't get any bike-snob attitude from them that I've felt at other bike shops.
My son and I have had great experiences at this REI. My son is bi-racial, black and white. We had no problems being waited on. The only lag time was when they were busy and we waited along with a couple of others. The staff is mostly knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. They provided me with a good woman’s pack that fit (Deuter), socks, liners, stuff sacks, shoe inserts and more. We were told that the Cliff energy bites were for hydration when in fact they have caffeine which dehydrates...need to read all the labels. Prices are high but quality and customer service is great. I had an Osprey back pack that was way to large given to me new 4 years ago...they would not take it back (which I understood...4 years...way to old...)but they did give me 30% off the one I bought which was VERY nice. I do highly recommend REI.
Per the usual with REI's in general, the gear is expensive but of high quality, and the staff member was very knowledgeable. In my case, I was looking for hiking boots with my fiance. I am generally aware of how to choose them, so I can confirm that the staff member provided all the right information with minimum fluff. He also didn't push any unnecessary purchases on us, which I appreciated. I wish we didn't pay full price for the gear, though. I normally try to purchase via REI Outlet or their attic sales. Unfortunately, we needed the boots sooner than the next attic sale.
Great shop. I much prefer this "old school" REI to one of the new stores. The bike shop is decent. The regular staff is helpful, but can be a bit pushy.
Larry helped me out with our car top carrier. We are very happy with their service as all employees we interacted with were helpful and professional. Thanks again REI!
Excellent REI! A great place for you outdoor needs: hiking and camping, climbing, biking, running, etc. Staff is very friendly and clearly know the products. Also, they guarantee the products.
