Lots of choices, including fabrics, for beautiful classic Japanese futons. Ask about the 100% cotton futon. Prices are about the same as a couch in most places.... these are not the type of futons you get at a big box store. These are the good ones. I should mention they do have gifts too and art.

The nicest lady, I swear and very helpful. I have been looking for a proper futon for three or so years. Not the kind you'd pick up at Walmart with cheap padding, but one you might find in Japan that could last you a lifetime, platform, the whole nine yards. The moment you walk in you can see difference in quality. There's cute little Nick nacks here and there, if you're looking for a small gift or something. I wound up purchasing a full futon set, complete with cover, pillows platform and an over blanket, I can't remember what it's called, maybe a throw? Any way, it was mildly expensive but in total everything I bought was less than the cost of just a normal matress that you'd buy, just the matress! Instead of going that route and still needing to buy the bed frame, an uncomfortable box spring, a number of sheet sets, pillows etc, I was able to pick out exactly what I wanted, choose materials, and buy everything all at once. Just a little bit of time for the order to come in and boom, I have an incredible Japanese futon that if taken care of could last me the rest of my life!
