Store front was closed, which I knew before going to the store to pickup my online order. Got there and saw a gentleman through the front window. Had to knock for about a minute before he came to the door. His attitude towards me when he answered the door gave me the impression that I was bothering him. I let him know that I was there to pickup my order. He gathered my order and gave it to me. The products he provided me were good, but his friendliness wasn't. This was my first time buying from this store. I will order from an online retailer in the future.

All right. It's, well y'all know, and with that, they have curbside service. Got Hydrometer, Thief, Tall graduated cylinder, Airlocks, Stoppers and StarSan. The Hydrometer was spot on, tested with 95%isopropyl. Graduated Cylinder, Airlocks and Thief are CRYSTAL CLEAR. The Thief is SUPER. I measure in it. I use Bags, I can slip that bad boy down, nice and smooth, Hydrometer fits in it, I measure, and just a little pressure on the tip empties it on the way out. Prices were GREAT. I couldn't get it cheaper on the internet, I checked, before I found HHQ. Want to be able to actually shop, but I understand. Gotta have 2 Hydrometers. Soo, I gotta go back.

I decided I wanted try my hand at making beer so I googled these guys. I called them up and talked to Dan and he walked me through the whole process and gave me some recommendations. I went in and brought all my equipment and ingredients, went home and got after it. Dan provided detailed instructions and I followed them and ended up with a really tasty hefeweizen! I have since been going to these guys for my ingredients and equipment. I highly recommend them especially if you are new to the craft and have questions these guys know what's up and will help educate you!

Store front is closed but they are too busy to update their webpage to infrom their customers. When you go there there is a message on door that says to call. And they point to the sign if you look in the window and see them standing there. When you do call though, it sends you to voice-mail. Awesome. So eventhough they are standing right there, no one answers. I just needed yeast so much easier to deal with and honestly a better customer experience from other online companies. Also, to be clear, my review is about their communication and not their covid policy though even that leaves me scratching my head a bit.
