I highly recommend PMI Star as a property management company! We’ve been impressed by their level of professionalism and execution. They did their due diligence on the tenants, thoroughly prepared the property and provided recommendations to enhance the opportunity. This has been a very low risk venture with PMI leading the efforts. I appreciate their responsiveness throughout the entire process and you can tell they are also looking to protect the tenants interest, a win-win from my perspective.

Maybe good for tenants, but home owners be aware. They did a fine job collecting rents and what not, but they DID NOT NOTIFY ME that my tenant was moving out, until I CALLED THEM wondering why my rent deposit was short, 9 DAYS BEFORE they moved out. I had asked her 4 months prior to end of lease if she knew what my tenants plans were, after 2.5 months of waiting for an answer, she told me they were extending their lease for 3 months. Great! I asked if that meant their rent changed to a month to month rent, she never got back to me. In December, when I received my monthly rent, it was short. I immediately reached out to her. She informed me that it was pro-rated because they were moving out. What? How could I not know this? I had just been told a few weeks prior they were extending their lease. There is an owner portal online where all notifications and notices go, I had absolutely zero information concerning it. I have screenshots of it and save all communication with them. I did not receive any email, texts, or phone calls. Even without getting the electronic notifications, she should have called me, as part of her job, to see what I wanted to do next, re-list, take off market, etc.... As per 99% of other management companies I have spoken with, the house goes back on the market before the tenant vacates. She apologized for me not getting notification, but that she was going to take a screenshot to prove it to me, she never got back to me with it.... I am incredibly disappointed in the way this was handled, I hope that I am her only client that has had to go through this, but others should be aware of what could possibly go wrong. Home ownership and hiring someone to manage your property requires tremendous responsibility, and choosing the correct person to help you is a very important choice.
