Wilma at the auditor’s office is probably the most wonderful human being who has ever walked the earth. She helped us multiple times with our marriage license and was cheerful and kind every time despite us being extremely annoying. How can heaven function without the help of the angel that is Wilma? I will never know. I have never been happier to sit at the auditor’s office. 5/5 stars!

There are a couple of staff members there who are exceptional -- they provide great customer service, they are knowledgeable of what they are doing, they are courteous and helpful. Vicky is awesome. However, I recently went in to transfer the title of a truck from the former owner (deceased) to me (purchased the truck from the estate). I attempted this 3 times at this location, each time sent away with a new list of things I didn't have. (Each time I returned with the completed list, they'd add new items.) I met with Wilma who was dismissive right off the bat, she took the list that I had from me and told me to just let her handle it. She was rude and condescending. She indicated she needed something new and wrote me a new list. I demanded my old list back and made her compare the two and that the new information she requested was NOT on the previous list. She remained obstinate and rude, essentially stating that was just too bad. I've read good reviews about other offices. I've also received good customer service from Vicky in this office, but I'll never step foot in there again thanks to the incompetence and rudeness of Wilma.
We had a great experience, when we went there earlier this morning. All four staff members had big smiles on their faces. Deidre was industriously cleaning the glass front doors as we entered. Vicky and Wilma were also busy, but took the time to make eye contact, responding when spoken to. Most of all, we were very impressed by Mario's help throughout. He even chased - and located - us at Fred Meyer next door, saving us from a return trip.
Order tabs 1-3 still haven’t got them. An don’t call b4 8:30 there very grumpy an will put ya on hold till 8:30 hahahaha
Poor service, unprofessional staff. We left and went up to the DMV in Kennewick. Not much better. Why is government so inefficient?
These are THE most difficult people to work with. It's as if they go out of their way to throw up all manner of obstacles for simple title transfers and tab renewals. I am always sent away to obtain some form of paperwork or proof of who I am, or my address, or my right to renew my own vehicle's tabs. I have learned from talking to others, that the level of harassment involved in handling routine transactions is totally unique to this one location, and that if you go to one of the other local offices, the entire process is completed much more smoothly, and in very little time at all. Also, at this particular office, the wait for service is always long, and there is no clear method of determining the next person in line, as there is no place to form a standing line, nor is there a numbered ticket system or a sign-in process available. This is a Very poorly managed office with complete disregard for providing good customer service.
I have gone to this office twice a year for seven years and I have always received professional, prompt and friendly service.
I have no idea where they found such horrible people to work behind their desks. I dread going in here because of seeing the people who work there. Before, when they were the only place to go... I would rather have let my tabs expire and just walked everywhere than go in there and deal with them. If someone did an episode of undercover bosses here... They would most likely be so devastated at how atrocious their customers were treated that they would just burn the building down and try again with automated clerks. The same people have worked in there since the dawn of time. Thank God the place in the uptown opened.
