While most of us are struggling with this Pandemic and having a hard time paying bills. A majority of mortgage companies are allowing payments to be deferred for up to 90 days. Not VHDA at all. No deferral options at all. You can fill out a request not to make payments for 60 days. After that you have to pay the lump sum of the payments you missed. If you can't pay them monthly because of the Pandemic how in the hell can you afford to pay the lump sum. Oh wait they offer you some type of financial hardship that you can file for after that. Just a real good way to screw up everything you have worked so hard for. Cannot believe there is no option for deferral like everywhere else.

I am grateful for VHDA & the ability to have purchased my 1st home at 20. I look forward to enjoying it for many years. Customer service is effective, no issues thus far!

The two representatives I spoke with yesterday were nothing but kind, caring, and efficient. I wish I could remember their names! It's a weird time right now, but I'm glad to know VHDA is taking care of customers.

Update: an individual has reached out and in concern to my situation. Will find out in July and update accordingly. Can not get my insurance straight. Every single year I have to waste my time with them and my insurance company to make sure I’m covered and everything is straight. I shouldn’t have to put DAYS every year into making sure I have insurance that btw has NOT CHANGED since the life of the loan. Update 2020: They have called me to fix the issue after posting this review and rectified the issue. Much improved, I didn’t have to play find the insurance this year!
