Its a refuse transfer station so, I mean, it's doesn't smell like roses or anything, but the staff was helpful and was great with answering my question over the phone before I came down. Had to wait a bit, but I wasn't in any rush so nbd for me. Maybe waited 15 minutes to unload. Unloading couldn't have been easier either. Just make sure to bring your richmond ID or a current utility bill with your name and address on it for proof of residency.

When I got there I was told they were closed to the public until \February or March\. Wow, if only they could put that someone on the Richmond Public Works website or the WM website, none of which mentioned the closing (I checked before leaving)! Sure happy wasted 2 hours of my day off loading my truck and driving down there. Absolutely unacceptable. Being closed is one thing, but not notifying your tax payers is ridiculous.

DO NOT TRUST WASTE MANAGEMENT. After paying our three year contract off years ago and going to a month to month contract, Waste Management telephoned my office without my knowledge. They \secretly\ asked one of my many office employees to agree to continue to get waste management service. I don't know about the conversation. It was not recorded and nothing was signed. I don't even know if the conversation happened but Waste Management \says\ it happened. Waste management did not notify me or talk to me as the business owner. They didn't get ANY signature. I spent hours talking to them. They don't care that the person they talked to had no authority to contract me to pay money (anymore than your neighbor can sign you up for cable service regardless of whether they say yes or not). I then reluctantly agreed to pay for the service that I DID NOT WANT for another month and then terminated the illegal contract. I payed my bill on time every month for 9 years. But loyalty means NOTHING to waste management. After I cancelled my illegal Waste Management contract AND PAID THE BILL, they still sent my file to collections demanding 1200 dollars in \early cancellation\ of their illegal contract. They cancelled the contract when they picked up my dumpster. I am filing a lawsuit against Waste Management for Illegal use of the collection system and harassment. Don't let them do this to you or your small business. DO NOT TRUST WASTE MANAGEMENT.

I would like to work there, so that I don't have to worry about doing a good job. But seriously, what a consistently poorly maintained dump of a dump. Every time I go there the unloading area is overflowing with debris and you have to both drive on top of it, and throw your trash over everyone else's mess. How hard is it to use all that heavy equipment to clean this out every once in a while? Terrible management.
