Little Egypt is the perfect place for a low key date night or for a friend visiting who wants something other than pizza. It’s inviting, tasty, and well priced. The falafel is delicious with the perfect texture and sesame seeds on top for a twist. We had it with the humus which is made with parsley and again, was delicious! The grilled fish is something you can’t miss and has a nice smoky flavor. We had the beef as well and liked it, but wouldn’t order it again. 10/10 experience

Amazing food in a lovely lovely place!! Definitely will be back regularly and bring all my friends and family! Eggplant is a must! One of the best eggplant dishes I’ve ever had. And great Egyptian espresso! 10 star recommend!

I think the food was okay. You have to be aware that the place is not as fancy as many others in Astoria, but that doesn't mean the environment or food aren't nice. To begin, the owner is really friendly and helped me order. The 3 stars are because I think the dish was quite expensive (almost 20) for what I got chicken, lamb, and beef which were quite burned. The hummus was outstanding: creamy and balanced. The rice was in its point but the salad was simple. I would perhaps go again to order something different, maybe a veggie dish.

Sweet family run location with delicious and no frills food. Looking for good vibes and good food? Look no further than Little Egypt. To say pricing is affordable is an understatement, the portions to accompany them seem as though you're at grandma's house and she is showering your plate and belly with nonstop love. If the owners are reading this, thank you for a wonderful experience! Foods ordered: - Koshary - my first ever experience, not disappointed at all. Homemade sauce that makes this a must if you're here. - Lamb Kebab Sandwich - the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection - Spinach cheese puff pastry - yum! - rice pudding (this was complimentary from the amazing people that run this place!) - delicious home made rice pudding with shredded coconut and golden raisins

Very friendly place to go. Very good food and very decently priced. The warm grape leaves are really good. Definitely a different place to dine.

I went to this place with 7 other friends(including Sarah- she is from Egypt, all others were from different parts around the world) It was an amazing experience for us. The family that owns this place went extra mile providing us with portions that can be shared by all of us. We had the following thanks to Sarah's suggestions Appetizers: Vegetarian Cold grape leaves, Hot grape leaves, Hummus, Eggplant( delicious ), Falafel Entrees: Grand Egyptian Platter, Lamb kebab platter, Little Egypt's famous Koshary, Nash's special chicken Dessert: Backlava & Konafa Finally ended the course with Egyptian tea. Will come back againi

It took them a bit longer to make a sandwich, but I am fine with it - they grilled really big pieces of lamb specificly for the sandwich! The tahini sous is to very good and authentic.
