Beautiful grounds and nice hiking trails. We went on New Year’s Day and enjoyed a quite hike. We will be going back for more hikes in the future.

Great hike and workout but was relieved when we completed it. did not expect to cross various streams 7times,sme were narrow with rocks conveniently located in them but others were wider with larger rocks where I needed a helping hand to cross over. several sections ascending and descending were quite rocky and covered with dried eaves therefore tricky. We followed the blue blaze. Windy and 29F but warmed but nicely due to exertion of the hike.
Nice charming lil place. Lots of iron in the ground. I could feel the magnetic field messing with me...
What a beautiful place to walk around. So much birds and wild life about. We spotted a swan with its swanling(?), Tadpoles, all kinds of frogs and turtles, even a snake. The grounds are well maintained and still hint at the opulence of yesteryear.
Very interesting, but, I am handicapped and use a scooter the paths are not handicapped friendly. They need to do a better job with the ground paths. Couldn't finish the tour ground was so bad.
