The flavors of ice are off sometimes not really consistent. This place is still very good and a great place to head for a frozen treat

We have only come here a handful of times, but the line has always moved quickly, the staff is nice and custard is tasty. My kids leave happy, so I leave happy. Bonus, there are lots of napkins available for kids who get waffle cones and eat them very slowly. We usually take some custard home with us afterwards too.

Loved going here in Pennsylvania. Now it is here! One of East Coasts best places is now here. Good ice drinks, yougurt shakes. Must try here. You will love it!

Great atmosphere and super fun treats. Rita’s custard beats out ice cream in my book any day! Manager Sean is very professional and courteous! All the employees there always seem to appear very happy and helpful! I love Rita’s!

I've been here 3 times with my son. The first 2 times, I got the "flight" I think it's called, where you can get 4 types of icy treats in the container. The first 2 times I got this I chose 2 italian ice and 2 custards. DELICIOUS! The last time I went in, about a month ago, there was a young girl that was new and being trained. She helped us and I asked for the same Flight item, and I told her my choices (both ice and custard). She was starting to fill the 3rd compartment when the girl that was training her said "No! You cannot do that!" I asked why and she said because I can only get all 4 ice or all 4 custard, because the "prices are different". I told her I will happily pay the more expensive price. There aren't 4 of either ice or custard that I want to try. I want a mixture of both! She said she would do it this once since the new girl was already dishing it but that I could not do that in the future. Sad...

1 star because you staffed 1 person on a busy nice weather Saturday right after dinner time and the lines out the door. Come on. You should know better. If someone called in then the owner or manager should have came in. Other then that love the custard and Italian ice.

Rita's is a wildly popular east coast chain I grew up with in Pennsylvania. This is the first Washington franchise and it's still working out the kinks (for example the flavor selection on the day I went was not a balanced mix, they were mostly the really, really sweet flavors), but you should give it a shot! There is nothing else quiet like Rita's Italian ice and custard. The flavors change daily, but mango is the best. I recommend trying a gelati - it's the best of both worlds, ice plus custard. It's not as weird as you would think.

most awkward purchase ever. the place itself is fine. clean, bright, everything looks good. and my wife enjoyed what she got. but the staff? at least today... no greeting when we walked in. it was our first time in and we told them that. they didnt offer suggestions or samples, they just awkwardly, almost creepily stared at us while we decided what to get. customer service much? not planning on going back.
