If you're looking for a ice cold treat on a hot summer day, I recommend you go here. We usually buy gelati but they have various items on the menu. You can get your gelati with just Italian ice...or a double treat of layered frozen custard and the Italian ice of your choice. I got the Jolly Rancher watermelon flavor with vanilla custard and it was delicious! The Jolly Rancher watermelon Italian ice tastes just like the candy!

I detour from highway 80 every time I go by Start with a regular Gelati. Vanilla custard and a fruit flavored Italian ice (cherry, green apple, etc). This is what made the chain huge on the East Coast. Now they offer a ton of other things too. I don't try those things. :-)

The Frozen Custard here is amazing! - when available. There is Italian Ice that can be had along with this or alone that is also tasty and refreshing. For taste, this place gets 5 out of 5, minus 2 stars for being sold out of flavors or their Frozen Custard machine not working properly as to give a decent selection. The hit or miss aspect of this place can be a little disappointing. Most recently we met up with family and only a few of us got something we wanted. Edit: Went again and out of basic flavors. Minus one more star.

Went here for the first time yesterday. We had the strawberry colada Italian ice and it was great! Clean store and friendly employees. Definitely will return . Good cool summer treat. Definitely beats the heat .

We love Rita's! My daughter is lactose intolerant and most of Rita's ice is dairy free. There is also custard for my other kids who want ice cream. So delicious.

They always have a friendly staff, and a large selection of ice and custard. We have loved everything we have tried.
