My husband and I have used River Guide Kayaks twice, once with low water and once with high water. We had a great time both times. The river is gorgeous and there are lots of birds. A guide goes through the basics on land but, once you are on the water, you are on your own. My husband is a novice but I used to do quite a bit of sea kayaking so we are a mix. The difference in difficulty between low water and high water was significant but not beyond our abilities. There are a few spots that are tricky. I might recommend setting up novice classes and taking a group down the river to show them how to deal with those spots and to walk them through what to do if you tip over.

Kayaked the kinni. The guy setting us up and transporting us was super nice. The trip was beautiful and not too challenging. I would definitely go with this company again.

The kinni is beautiful and the staff professional. We did a little research and knew the river was shallow in some spots. Not a huge kayak pro, but was easily able to enjoy this beautiful river. Highly recommend

First of all, they were super easygoing when I had to change my reservation date months ago. Second, they were communicative about the river conditions the day of the trip. Thirdly, answered all our questions/concerns about the trip as it had rained the night before and warned us it may make the journey more difficult than usual. Still my buddies and I pressed on. And it was so much fun! Plus their kayaks were nice and roomy. I felt pretty safe the whole trip. I would consider myself a beginner at kayaking. I've only kayaked a handful of times in lakes. But for the most part, the Kinni was shallow with lots of opportunities to pull off to the side to take breaks. It did get a bit more challenging towards the end, but managed to finish without ever tipping over. \u003c(︶)\u003e
