We had so much fun. We went as a family, husband and I are in our 30s. We had a 15 , 13, and 10 year old with us. We learned so much

Smaller but still a good museum with a lot to see!
Nice but small. Some interesting information if you are in the area.
Most exhibits you use a hand held thing that you listen to a story. The volume is low even at it's highest. It was ok. The people are friendly.
It's been a long time since I've been to a museum with so much exhibit and reading. The information was well presented and the exhibits are nicely done with the walking stick telling the stories with good voices but my kids were disappointed with the lack of exhibits designed to experience the history. Some things were touchable and they enjoyed those items, especially the boats. I would not recommend it for kids under second grade but it's good for kids finishing third here in Michigan because it goes along with the history they learned about the state this year. Forget bringing toddlers or preschoolers.
