The thing for me that sets the Jr. Reign apart is they have a mission statement and they ensure everyone in the organization not only knows it, but follows it. They have a passion to develop hockey players, and at the same time young men and women with character. This sounds like the tag line for any club, but the Jr. Reign truly deliver on this. With this being my son's second season with the club, and another starting his first, I have been around long enough to see the impact these coaches have, and the level of dedication. I would be shocked to find any club that has a staff more prepared or dedicated than the Jr. Reign. I could go on forever telling you how great this club is. The best thing you could do would be to come by the rink during any practice. You will see hockey players in constant motion, as there is little to no time spend waiting in line. The best part is you will see players getting better at the game of hockey and doing so with the biggest smile on their faces. From the youngest player to the 17 year old, they are all having fun and want to be there. For me, this is why my boys play with the Jr.Reign. The emphasis is on fun and long term development of all the players.

My son is a first year peewee and has been in the Wildcats hockey program for 3 years now. We are extremely pleased with the programs focus , dedication and positive coaching geared towards our kids future success. My child has become a better hockey player but also a better person. The idea of having practice in small areas has proven that kids can make quicker decisions, improve overall skills and at the same time have fun. My son has shown improvements in every aspect of the game, practice to practice, game to game and season to season his game has improved to higher level that is very noticeable. His love and passion for the game has grown to new level you don't normally see in a 12 year old. All this is due to the culture and positive coaching instilled by this awesome program. The program is unique due to the fact kids are never waiting to touch the puck or waiting to get there turn to skate. The idea at WIN AT ALL COST does not exist in this program. If you want your kid to become a better hockey player, teammate and better person i suggest you take a look at this program. There is no negative feedback , sitting a player or skipping a shift due to making a mistake from any of the coaching staff. I feel this is important to me because my son has elevated his self confidence, his self motivation and most important he is having FUN!!!!
We are total hockey newbies, daughter tried hockey in January, was in love with the ice by February and met Coach Paul and Coach Emery in March. With the care and guidance of the coaches of the Jr Reign our barely skating kiddo is beginning to develop some skills, has developed a passion for skating and tells everyone she meets about "treadmill and on ice". If you are looking for a program that is the antithesis of the typical youth sport experience, check out the Jr Reign. These guys teach with passion and dedication through every step of a child's skill acquisition process. We are already so blessed by our time with the Jr Reign and can't wait for our daughters first hockey season to start!
Duncan has been passing the puck around since he could walk. He loved playing since he was one, though he didn’t start on the ice until he turned 4. He knew he wanted to play, and we got him on the ice, but he wasn’t sure how to put everything together. These coaches are amazing! They not only take the time to show him how to do something correctly, they also encourage him when he thinks he can’t do it. They believe in him, when he has self doubt. Just a encouraging word, changes his outlook immediately. That’s very important to a young, and impressionable preschooler. His self esteem, and confidence on the ice, has improved beyond words. These coaches show their dedication every time, and are always present in the moment.
My 10 year old son has been doing a personal training program with the Wildcats for about 4 months. I've seen improvements in his speed, skills, and ability. He trained the first 3 months on the treadmill and is now on the ice every other week. The skills he's learning are going to be invaluable when the fall season starts. Also, Coach Craig has been a pleasure to work with. My son has enjoyed his lessons so much, he asked for more lessons for his birthday in lieu of toys!
We love the Wildcats program! Our overall experience has been wonderful. The coaching philosophy is to let the kids have fun. The ADM Model has been effective. It allows the kids to learn from their mistakes. We recommend this program for parents that would like to see their children grow in the sport of hockey. We have seen great progress in our son's skills and love that they do a lot of stick-handling and conditioning. If you are tired of the "win at all cost" philosophy, awful yelling, benching for mistakes...this program is for you. Children are challenged, but have fun! The coaches are very positive and encouraging. Our son has made great friendships and created unique bonds that are sure to last.
Our overall experience with the Wildcats Program has been wonderful. Over the last 3 seasons, our son has improved in skill and self-confidence on and off the ice. Each season, Coach Paul has provided us a responsibly ran program. No politics. The focus being on our son’s growth and overall team growth. He has provided evaluations at the beginning and end of each season giving our son the opportunity to set goals specific to his skill development and us a roadmap to help our son achieve them. Specific to our son’s team each season, we have been fortunate to be surrounded by parents that believe in the ADM and respect not only the Program Director and coaches but also the game. Our son is Wildcat proud win or lose. His club loyalty, in our opinion, is due to his respect for his coaches and the friendships that he has made with his teammates.
My two boys have been in the Wildcats program for three seasons now. Prior to joining the Wildcats program they both played in-house and had a great time. We had our doubts about having them tryout for a club team after seeing the atmosphere that came along with some of the other programs. However, when the Wildcats came to Riverside we immediately saw a difference in the way they do things. From the professionalism of their coaching staff to the organization of their practices, they truly have set a new standard. Not only are the coaches interested in making our kids better hockey players, but they also want them to be better people. Win or lose there is always an opportunity for the coaches to draw from and teach the kids. The proof is when I see how excited my kids are to go to practice and their games. The Wildcats have taken the"Win at All Costs" mentality out and substituted it with a unique philosophy and culture that allows all kids to thrive. Both my boys have improved tremendously over the last three seasons. It is a joy to see them get better and have so much fun in the process.
