Easy going, friendly people. The atmosphere, small size, and opinionated menu (no ketchup, it doesn't belong on a burger) make it a fun experience. Good prices. They treat my puppy well and he makes sure we swing by often. If you are passing through Roanoke, you have to stop here for a burger.

Stopped by here because of the mention in the WSJ. An excellent, cheap, classic burger with no fancy frills. I live in California so I would compare the prices and menu options to In N Out; however, the burger bun is slightly larger and with different toppings than In N Out and TT does not grill their buns. I had the Cheesy Western with all the toppings. There was a generous portion of egg on it and the perfect amount of sauce. Would definitely stop by again whenever I am in the area.

I've been eating here for over 40 years and what you see is what you get. There are no gimmicks, just good hot food.

I'm giving them 5 stars not because it is the greatest burger I've ever had, but because combined with the rough atmosphere, hysterical staff and pretty decent food an experience that every visitor to Roanoke should try. You will enjoy it and hopefully come back. When I asked \why Texas?\ I was told the business was opened in 1930 by a family from Texas. Okay by me. I'm told the chile and the \cheesy western\ are why people come here. Saving those treats for a future visit. The inside has a stainless steel bar counter that seats 10. You can also just order from their take out window if your afraid to enter. Open 24 hours a day and every day but Christmas. I repeat: you must come here.
