Great people, great place. Very obvious that they really care. They were very respectful to our family and our pet. Highly recommend anyone serious about taking care of their pets to take them here. They took a difficult time and made it bearable. God bless the American Humane society and their Staff️️. Please donate if you can, worthy cause

Love this Rochester humane society they are awesome & are there to help with fostering animals. I found an infant baby kitten who was abandoned, cold & hungry with her eyes closed. The humane society here has an excellent program to help with all the costs and supplies , medical is included ..they really took care of my baby Miracle! She is as healthy as can be now almost a year!

There were six hens for adoption on their website so we called to ask the adoption process and were told that if we wanted to adopt the hens we would come to their location, fill out the form, then take the hens home. We were told they wouldn’t do holds so we called two days later before we left our house to let them know we were interested in the hens but were driving from 2 hours away and wanted to make sure they were still available and were told that they were. We made the 2 hour journey and when we got there we were told the hens already had an interested adopter and were being held for them. We asked about why that would be since the website said no holds/first come first served and we were there at the moment to bring them home with us. The woman continued to say that chicken adoptions are different and that they couldn’t let us adopt them because they were on hold for a potential adopter. We are pretty upset that we were told they were available and drove the 2 hours (4 hours round trip) for nothing. This seems very unprofessional. Will not be dealing with humane society again.

Quick pic while waiting to be called to bring Cypher in. I am happy with the system they have to get our 4 legged friends in and out.

Couldnt say enough praise for all the employees at all the locations. Had to put my 15yr old cat down. They were so helpful and compassionate. Then we had a surprise litter of baby bunnies. Katie from the rochester location was an angel. I was so overwhelm ed and every resource I tried led me to a dead end. I cant say enough about her! So sweet. I was very happy the babies we couldnt find homes for went to her loca.tion. Today, she followed up with us to help neuter our momma bunny and rwhome the 2nd surprise litter.
