I’ve purchased takeout from here multiple times in the past couple of years. The food is always great. Unfortunately, the discomfort my friend and I felt yesterday while picking up our food has led me to share my experience- and I rarely write negative reviews. Yesterday was my first time here since last March when everyone started wearing masks due to COVID-19. Not a single individual in this entire establishment was wearing a mask. Not the customers and friends who were wandering around rather than seated at a table, and not the employees (who by the way took a few minutes to even notice we were waiting there). There was a younger, shorter individual who came out from the divided side, looked straight at my friend and me, and proceeded to slowly walk directly between the two feet of space between us without a mask rather than just go around us. People would just go in and out of the kitchen without a mask. The woman who brought our food out was not wearing a mask either. The irony of all of this is that there is a sign directly above the booth requiring everyone to wear a mask, yet it didn’t seem like anyone was following it. People are welcome to choose how to react to a pandemic- whether they don’t think they will get sick, carry the virus, or even believe in it. It’s the absolute disrespect and lack of concern for those around you that should not be tolerated.

It's a very quaint and welcoming restaurant. The menu changes every day so the options are endless. The service was quick and impeccable. There are no bad things I can say. There's even dine in with everything going on.

Food is so good. Don’t be turned away by the setting. Just a mom and pop shop that makes fantastic food at a lower than normal price!

So good!! I’ve had a lot of Somali food back home and this is the best! Portions are great size and meat is well seasoned and very tasty. The owner is so nice and welcoming, don’t let the dark windows outside deter you. Ask for the rice and see what meats they have that day. Definitely get a sambusa!!
