Great stock, if you know what your looking for there is a really good variety. Update: the two large shrubs I bought were extremely root bound and girdled. Just be aware especially for larger stock that there is no warranty or exchange offered. The bottle bushes I purchased were rooting into the ground from the container at the nursery but purchased anyway. Once home and planting the plants were in a heavy bark medium and extremely root bound. Did all necessary steps in planting shrubs (soil conditioned and added to native soil, rootball loosened, etc.) But dieback started immediately once I planted and were completely dead within 3 weeks. Have worked in the horticultural and landscape industry for years, I still think their stock looks good near the road where the buy from other wholesalers but be aware and diligent if purchasing high ticket items, your doing so at your own risk.

Very honest and professional staff. They seem to focus on a smaller variety than other nurserys in the area but they what they do, they do well.

After calling the office and leaving a message then leaving a message via their website, I decided to go by the nursery. I was told that the gentleman remembered seeing my name but his brother would be the one to contact me. I told him no problem and we talked a while about the area and surrounding areas since I'm new to the area. The gentleman was very nice and assured me that his brother would contact me. After a month, I reached out because no one had call me. The gentleman once again, said he would pass the information to his brother and he would call me. Still, no contact as been made. This seems to be a good company but not contacting a customer is not the way to receive 5 stars. I would have respected if someone just said, the brother was very busy and that I would need to come back to the nursery, if I was still interested.

We contracted with this business for extensive landscape and drainage work in our front yard. The area is heavily shaded and we were unable to grow grass causing severe erosion. The owner provided a plan with plantings that could tolerate heavy shade. The work was completed (and paid for), however within six months, three sections of plants had died because the plants they had selected were not suitable for the heavy shade conditions. We contacted the owner multiple times by phone, email and even talked with him personally about the dead plantings and what they were going to replace them with but received no response. Finally, in July the owner came out and replaced several plants. At this time he told us he had underestimated the amount of shade in selecting plants. He then sent some of his people to replace another bed of plants in August. This still left two large bedding areas that needed to be replaced. We have continued to try and communicate with the owner regarding the replacement of the balance of the plants but have not received any acknowledgment to any of our communications. This has been a very disappointing experience with Rolling Hills nursery. We trusted their knowledge and competence in plant selection, but we’ve had nothing but disappointing results for the amount of money they were paid. More disappointing has been the lack of response and poor customer service.
