I brought my Gibson Les Paul Standard in for a setup and a installation of a new pickup in the neck position and a new bridge installed. Bob did a great job, my guitar plays great! I will definitely use Bob again at Rockford guitar repair.
I could not get a response from Luthiers in my area. While Rockford is over 2 hours away from me, Bob was willing to work on my (A style Octave) & my A style mandolin. He is knowledgeable and shared tips that will help me care for my instruments long term. He set up of my Breedlove Mandolin to sound great! I highly recommend his Services! Thanks again Bob!
I brought my Guild D40 in to have a crack in the body repaired. Bob was extremely knowledgeable, and immediately upon arrival at his shop I knew my guitar was in good hands. Service was quick and the price was more than reasonable. He gave my guitar a good once over and set up after fixing the crack, and she sounds better than ever. I have to look real hard to even see the crack. I would highly recommend Bob for all guitar work. I will never go anywhere else. I’m pretty sure he fixes other string instruments too, so bring whatever you need worked on to him with total confidence. I know I will! Thanks again Bob. I feel like I just found a local under-the-radar gem.

Bob worked on my 9 year old American Deluxe Strat last week. Redressed the frets and did a top to bottom inspection and set up. The quality of his work is the best I've found in the Twin Cities area. Also fast turnaround and very fair pricing.
Bob resurrected an old import strat-copy for me to give to my son, and even with a somewhat warped neck was able to get the guitar playing nicely with good intonation. Very reasonably priced and a very nice gentleman to speak to. Thanks Bob!
Bob is fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and precise with his craft. He not only fixed my Martin guitar but made it brand new again. His rate is much more affordable than I expected, plus he made a new saddle that was identical to the original saddle for free because it wasn't in the quote. I highly recommend him not only for his craftsmanship but his hones, easy going nature. He also builds handcrafted guitars for those who are interested.
