Claws was the first lobster roll joint we've stopped at in Maine. We arrived around lunch time and it was pretty busy, but luckily, placed our order ahead before we got there. It took about 10 minutes for our order to come out, which is quick considering there was a long line of people waiting to place an order. The staff here were very friendly and professional. They catered to your needs and were attentive. There's a parking lot for about a dozen cars but plenty of parking on the street if needed. The outdoor dining area offers a great view out into the water. The lobster roll came with a very generous portion of lobster as you can see in the photo. It was fresh and soft; practically melted in your mouth. The roll that it came on offered a nice crunch to contrast the lobster. My immediate impression with that first bite was that Claws set the bar high for the best lobster rolls Maine has to offer. I will definitely stop here again whenever I'm back in town.

Huge selection of food and drinks that makes it hard to choose. Still, you cant go wrong with anything you choose. The lobster mac n cheese won a special #1 in Maine award and it sure is tasty. Portions are pretty hefty too. The view over the water is very nice and a nice summer day makes it perfect to sit outside and enjoy the delicious food. Note that there is parking available.
I have been here twice and was impressed both times. Absolutely beautiful spot to go in the summer time with outdoor seating that overlooks the ocean. I would definitely recommend!
We were visiting the Rockland area this past weekend and had two superb meals at Claws. Probably the best onion straws and fried clams I've ever had and that's saying a lot having grown up in New England. The service was spot on and the restaurant practiced social distancing and the wearing of masks. We sat outdoors both times and I can't say enough good thing about this wonderful seafood restaurant. If you haven't been there you must go, you won't be disappointed
Stop by this legendary spot. I always am weary when a restaurant has an awesome view. Food tends to be not the focus. But this place has been here for ages. Order the lobster roll, crab cakes and crab roll. Crab cakes tasted like mush texture or eating mash potatoes. Not flavor to the batter. So pass. The crab roll was bland as well the crab was overcooked. The lobster roll was a nice change. Lobster cook well and bun stuffed with meat. We had to try it for being in the town, but unfortunately our experience was not what we expected.
We have been coming to Rockland for many years and this is the first time to stop here. Boy are we glad. My clawesall roll was amazing. My wife had the lobster Mac and cheese and loved it. Large menu and great variety even for those that don’t want seafood. We will be back.
Didn't really like the food. The lobster was too chewy and breads were soggy. Ambience was good though.
Very good lobster Mac and cheese. The tea was nice and strong. Ambiance outside on the harbor was perfect. A must eat place in Rockland.
