I've been coming to rockler woodworking on Thunderbird off and on for the last 10 years. The gentleman that work here are very knowledgeable and very professional. Every time I've come here with a question I've gotten a very good answer or three very good answers. If you need wood cut for a project these guys will do it for you. If you have questions about staining these guys have the answers. I will continue to be a very loyal customer as long as I am in need of woodworking assistance. Thank you John and your crew, you guys are great!!!

This place is a woodworker’s hub of materials and advice. They have an incredible array of every kind of tool, including the supplies to make your own - truly the tools of the trade to create professional results (even for an amateur). The store is staffed by friendly experts who can help figure out the creative solution to a tricky problem the way only a true woodworker can. The store manager, John Gilchrist, is particularly helpful and encouraging, even with the trickiest problems! They hold regular classes and demonstrations that can make you familiar enough with tools to be comfortable using them at home - and provide you with a terrific item that you made with your own hands. I've attended two already - and I'm far les afraid of my router as a result. They even have hours on Sundays, so I can forget something during a weekend project and still go pick it up. When I first developed an interest in woodworking, my brother-in-law, who is a master craftsman, said: "Have you been to Rockler? You're gonna LOVE Rockler!" And he was absolutely right!

I didn't want to leave this review. I'm new to wood working and when I research how to do something-- some blog or YouTube usually recommends Rockler products. So I figured I'd visit the store to purchase a new track saw. This was a mistake. The person who originally helped me ended up being the store manager. He was rude and incredibly pushy to buy the Rockler warranty. I noticed it had looked like the box had been opened and asked if they had another that was sealed. I saw him go into the back and assumed he grabbed one that was sealed. I should have checked because when I got home, it was clear the saw had been used and cleaned off (not very thoroughly). I researched who the store manager was and found out it was actually the guy who helped me. At this point, I knew returning it would most likely be a pain so I reached out to reviews@rockler (based on another poor review here) and was contacted by the "district manager" who told me all the wonderful things about John and made me feel like I was the problem. And hey, maybe I am? They offered to ship a new saw to the store and I'd have to go back and and return the used one. I guess I maybe expected too much? Ideally, just ship it to my house and I'll send back the other one. If needed put a hold on my credit card for the cost. This is what any customer centric company does these days. I'd also recommend you take a look at Rocklers Trust Pilot score. I should have done that in the first place. It's much more accurate of my experience vs the reviews here.

Just got a Sawstop at this store yesterday, I was again pleased with the customer service and the genuinely care from the staff. Especial Thanks to Chuck, he was outstanding.

Very helpful and friendly. They're a little pricey, but they have good quality stuff, and some of their jigs and dust collection fittings are the best for the money.

As excited as I was the first time I walked into through door, ready to buy what I needed to start my woodworking journey, I was quickly disappointed by the customer service in this store. There is nothing that can crush an experience more quickly than sub-par and inconsiderate customer service. Three times I have been into this store, and each time I have walked away with disappointment. Not because of the lack of inventory, but for the way the employees make their patrons feel. Spoken by so many great leaders is the following, "People may not remember what you say, but they sure will remember how you make them feel". In a world where buying everything online is the norm, people will often travel to brick and mortar stores for what they cannot get through an online purchase; expertise and a quality experience - this store provided none of those. While I can detail the lack of knowledge the employees appeared to possess, the most significant detriment to this store is their ability to treat other people as they should. I rated this store two stars for its customer service and its consistency in performance. I genuinely hope someone at Rockler takes note and addresses the issues here.
