I had bought a Triton Planer 3-1/2 years ago which developed a problem.I also bought a 2 year extended warranty thru Rockler. I had not realized that I had to register the product to activate Triton's 3 year warranty. Otherwise it's just 1 year, 3 years with the extended warranty. Not the 5 years I thought. My dealer in South Portland, ME stood behind the product and gave me a new unit. Now that is customer service at it's best. Rockler has a customer for life. It's a great little planer, just make sure you register Triton products to activate the 3 year warranty.

The best place to go in Maine for woodworking supplies and advice! The staff here are all very knowledgeable and pleasant. There's a great selection of power tools, lumber, accessories, you name it. Anything they don't have in stock can be ordered for you in no time. In one of my visits I had the pleasure of speaking with the national sales manager for Rockler, a nice gentlemen based out of the Midwest who goes around the country checking on Rockler stores and making sure the service is top-notch. He was a pleasure to talk to, and even took the time to answer some questions I had regarding wood finishes. I never would have expected such service from a high-level corporate guy, but I guess Rockler does go the extra mile from the top of the company on down! My only complaint is the damage my bank account has sustained since discovering this place :-)
