I’m very disappointed in with my experience in rock n’ roots. The products were great, but the service was upsetting. My father is disabled and uses a cane, and they don’t they pick up their pallets. If you are disabled or don’t have a truck, good luck getting your pallet deposit (in this industry, a pallet is worth it’s weight in gold.) So I put their pallets in my truck and took them to drop them off, and the guy who takes the pallets out of trucks, refused to take them out of my truck. Which I am envious of him for, because I wish I could refuse to do my job sometime. This “Pallet inspector” of sorts had an issue with one pallet. If I wasn’t there they would of expected my disabled father to unload them, because pallet inspection is a one man job. It took nearly 20 minutes (not including walk time because my father is very slow) for my father to get his deposit back because they had to “go back and pull out the pallet to double check.” She treated me like I was trying to scam them for one pallet. Kinda rude, but whatever, maybe the cashier woman got her grit from years in the rough pallet business. When I told them I didn’t care about the 40 dollars, and just wanted the refund the woman at the front desk became rude, told me to “pull my mask up” before speaking with her. Little did she know, that I already had COVID and can no longer get it or give it. I didn’t know the pallet business was so aggressive! I will no longer buy stone from them. Unlike most junk yards, instead of aggressive dogs to scare people away, it is the aggressive employees.

Once open for action, Jason was on top of our request to purchase an outside fireplace. Fantastic pricing, military discount and recommended a local landscaper for transport/install (Chiefs Landscaping) who also did a 5 star job. Ordered from the factory and installed in 2 days flat. Have never seen such a project happen so quickly! Had our first fire on the same day!

This place was excellent, we needed to purchase our stone for the landscaper our contractor recommended. We picked it out with much help and provided our print with the area sizes. Everything was delivered as promised and in plenty of time for the lanscape crews start date. Very easy to work with.

This place is awesome. We bought rocks and mulch from them after a bad experience with Menards. Everyone we dealt with was super nice. From the younger brown haired girl working the front, the person who took our order over the phone and our delivery driver Aaron (I think was his name). We will be loyal Rocks ‘n’ Roots customers from now on. I’m so glad we went local and didn’t support a big box.

This has been my experience with Rocks and Roots... 1. Called to place an order of Fendt products. They said they couldn’t get the order until late in the week. So I called Panetta Supply (in Westland and hour away!) and they placed the order. Panetta got it delivered in two days. 2. Checked their website for limestone fines - promotes they have it. Drove to store and they don’t carry it. I pointed it out on their website and received a ‘We’re a mom-and-pop business so not everything is updated.’ response. I then asked for an equivalent, which they had but was told we needed to have a truck to load due to insurance purposes. I literally just needed five buckets worth and would’ve paid for it and a service fee. Nope, couldn’t do it. Additionally, they didn’t even offer to have one of their apparently uninsured workers shovel it for us. Again, five buckets that I would’ve gladly paid for plus labor fee. They literally lost out on thousands dollars worth of brick and base stone because of their ineptitude. How do businesses like this survive when customer service is just completely unhelpful at best, absent in reality?
