I am a volunteer coach for young classes (13 and younger). We coach to both excellence and personal growth; every child is encouraged to pursue their own level excellence while learning sportsmanship, camaraderie, and bearing.

I've been fencing here for a couple years and it's always been a really nice learning environment :) when I took the beginning/intermediate classes I always thought they were really fun and gave me a good start to the sport and the coaches have always been really supportive the whole time I've been here, so yea I'd give more than 5 stars if I could :) i recommend a lot

As a visiting fencer, I found both staff and local fencers welcoming and very competent. I watched a couple of lessons and was impressed with the coaches approach and technique. The RFA has had great success in competition, including with adult fencers — certainly the vet fencers I met were quite good! Highly recommended.

Great place to learn fencing and improve your skills. There are classes and private instruction for all age groups and all levels. The environment is fun and laid-back. The quality of fencers and instruction is top notch. This provides good training opportunities for intermediate and advanced fencers and a path for beginners to excel.

All the coaches are friendly. It's a great club if you want to be competitive. We have many national champions as well, so they are a great help. Classes are fun and useful and helped many go on to the next level. If the classes aren't enough (which I doubt), you can have even more with a private lesson. They are affordable and they have a great impact on me, as well as many of the other students. Rockville fencing academy is the best .
