I have had Spicy Crispy Beef in many places in Maryland. This one is very good. The beef is tender and the sauce is not too sweet. It could be a bit spicier (I will ask for this next time) and have more shredded carrots. The size of the order is also large enough for two or three people. Excellent find if you like this dish.

Juicy, flavorful, and robust Xia Long Bao!! Not always easy to find but you'll find it here at Shanghai Taste. You're welcome. Customer service was great, food was ready fairly fast! (The young lady working the front had a lively, fun personality and was very helpful!) Also, ordered the Crispy Eggplant - great texture, a bit on the sweet side but still oh so good, addicting, and filling! Oh and try the Winton with Red Hot Sauce. Btw, Folks - support Small Business and don't order through Third Party food delivery apps! They take a big chunk of restaurants meager profit, your food is delivered to you along the way food is delivered to other customers, so it's likely to arrive cold and slow. Just call Shanghai Taste DIRECTLY and pick it up yourself for the best, fastest, freshest experience!!
Read reviews about their soup dumplings and wanted to order but there menu is huge and was little confused by wat to order. Here are my recommendations 1. Soup Dumplings (4.5/)- Good flavor and soup was excellent. 2. Spicy wontons (5/5)- not that spicy and a must order 3. Shanghai braised Duck (5/5)-Amazing amazing, tender duck with great flavor. It doesn’t come with rice so you have to order rice separately. 4. Crispy Scalion pie (4/5) - It had a nice crisp to it but lacked a bit of flavor. 5. Shumai stuffed gluttonous rice (4/5)- it’s good but needs some flavor to it. 6. Pork Bun (3/5) - The bun was good but the filling lacked taste. Emily at the front was very polite and overall a great place. For menu look at the pictures.
1st time here. We ordered four different items and they are very good.
Very genuine, good steam buns and pan-fried buns with juicy stuffing inside (made from pork skins, only available during weekends). You know it’s great if you have been/lived in China. If you’re a vegetarian you won’t be able to enjoy those since the veggie buns are without the soup inside, but try the noodles instead (they are made usually without MSG too). On Saturdays it will get really busy and you could end up with sharing a big table with someone else, but totally worth it. Bring a Chinese friend unless you’re familiar with the art of eating soup-buns.
