I was visiting my son in Rockville and while there looked up independent yarn shops. That led me to WoolWinders! What a treat that was. The best yarn shop I have ever been to. Of course I had to look at and touch all the yarn! Shop owner never made me feel rushed, thank you for that! I found it impossible to leave without buying something. This shop also caters to us who crochet, she carries new ergonomic crochet hooks I had never seen before.

I enjoyed the Nordic knitting class with Arne and Carlos. The location was beautiful. The map of the venue provided could have been better or at least more written instructions on locating the classroom could have been given. The class itself was great. The required yarn (Rowan Brushed Fleece) was a terrible choice for learning a new technique. It split and there is no stitch definition. I returned one unused skein to the store. The return was accepted but the sales associate acted personally insulted. Overall a good experience. I will be back and will consider future classes.
