I just moved into my house this spring so this will be my first time ever living in a house with propane. I was concerned after smelling what I thought might have been a leak. Someone was at my house to check everything out maybe 10 minutes after I called. Already satisfied with their quick response time and thorough check.
They were easy to work with so far. They showed up on time. Paper work took some time but to be expected since we were new customers.
The Rocky Mount location is run about as poorly as a business could be run as it pertains to customer service. Management hides behind their receptionist and forces her to do all of their \dirty work\ (he can be heard in the background telling her what to say instead of dealing with the complicated issue himself). There are many other providers of their service and no location run by Davenport will ever receive our business again after the way this location has treated my account.
OMG! This company is a nightmare to deal with. We leased a property that had a 20 year old tank on it. When we moved in, we researched gas companies and chose Davenport because it’s who our landlord used. We were set up on auto-fill, but on a busy weekend, we ran out of gas and called for an emergency fill up. The driver didn’t want to come out on a weekend, and wanted to charge an exhorbitant fee. So we called Glenwood and they came right out, filled it up for a LOT less than Davenport was charging us. So we switched to Glenwood and have been happy ever since. Then Davenport decided they owned the tank, and threatened to lock it up so we couldn’t get our gas from anyone else. We told them to prove to us that they owned the tank which they obviously couldn’t do. So they called Glenwood and threatened them, making THEM pay 400 for the tank that they don’t even own. Disgusting! I HATE this company. Don’t ever do business with them. Their prices are high, customer service SUCKS, and they use threats and intimidation to try to keep customers.
