Adopted a sweet puppy last week. The officer who helped me was excellent. Compassionate, patient, and even provided us with a leash and toy. He helped engage my 11 year old son with playing with the puppy and did not rush us into a decision. We are so pleased with “Brent” now Max a d would highly recommend adopting from Rocky Mount. The officers sho true concern and care for the animals they take in. Before coming to the center I called twice and the officers I spoke with provided accurate and information regarding adoption hours and scheduling an appointment if needed

My Mother in law was looking to adopt a young kitty. She found her new soulmate last Friday at the Rocky Mount Animal Shelter, a beautiful 6 week old gray tabby baby with the most beautiful markings. The staff there does a great job and as Augus has been \Clear the Shelters\month, I must say, there were many people there to take home a loving pet. Give them a chance if you are looking to adopt. You must make a reservation if you are planning to go.

Called and reported that a dog was being neglected twice and they did nothing. They really said that a dog who’s spine and ribs are showing is has a good weight and being taken care of not to mention he’s chained to a truck and sleeps in a car
