This shop repaired my brother’s kite last year and did a nice, quick job at a good price. I live hours away from Hatteras and do tons of sewing on all sorts of things. I needed to do a small canopy repair and called to ask advice on a couple of repair issues. I was told “I don’t appreciate you calling me and this information can be found online.” Most businesses are pleasant and helpful on the phone. I probably spent 50 seconds of her time but was treated rudely. I guess anybody can be having a bad day and that was all there was to it. Sorry to be a bother.

Hank and Mud are the truth! We had a number of kites go down during our time in OBX, and OBX Remix kept us in the game. Amazing customer service, quick turnaround, quality work. Definitely our go-to stop for kite repair.
I had a deflation issue with one of my kites while on a trip to OBX. The place where I was staying so that they might be able to get to it in two weeks. The Folks at OBX remix kite repair not only did a great repair job but it in about 2 hours. I highly recommend them for great service very competitive price and complete honesty.
I have already heard that this was the place to go. I did price one other place and the price was identical. The leading edge was completely blown apart. I received the kite back and it took me several minutes to even find the repair. It looks better than I could have imagined. Excellent work and quick turn around. Thanks!!
Hank and Mud have repaired 8 of our kites and never took more than 24hrs. Repairs include bladder repairs and canopy tears for slingshots and core kites. Good people and great prices.
Great service! I UPS'd my Wingding down for a few minor repairs and they gave it back to the UPS Driver the same day so it made it back to me in basically three days, including shipping. Repairs look great! Yew! Maybe Mark should edit his review. He's not even a paying customer and ended up asking for advice he could easily get on Youtube while taking up time from the small business from working on repairs. Gimme a break! Beat it kook. :P
I had a few kites that needed various repairs. I first went to REAL and they told me it would take at least 2-3 weeks to repair (ridiculous). A friend recommended OBX Remix and they were able to repair all of my kites in less than 24 hours. I had Core and Slingshot kites. The slingshot kites needed valves replaces and one of my kites had a canopy split in half. On my core kite, the bladder was punctured in multiple places. Everything was fixed to 100% satisfaction and ready the day after I turned the kites in. I couldn’t be happier with Hank and Mud’s service and I will continue to bring them all of my kites should they need repairs.
Same day service at a very reasonable price. Friendly experienced staff were helpful and responsive, a much better option than the one week turnaround from the big names in the area.
